Although he is hired as domestic helper of Philippe, he nearly becomes a dog in a bowling game. Time passing and grows among them a beautiful and affectionate sentiments.

SAG Award Nominations, Did Your Favorites Make the Cut?

The nominees for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have just been revealed lately. Yet another awards show in the very top tier (which also includes the Golden Globes and Academy Awards) is the SAG Awards, where the actors themselves choose the best performances from amongst their peers. These nominees are usually very similar to those at the Oscars. This year, the association has picked "The Artist", "Bridesmaids", "The Descendants", "The Help" and "Midnight in Paris" as the qualified nominees for the coveted Outstanding Performance by a Cast award.

Most of us come home after work or have some free time on the weekend and would like to relax for a while maybe pour something to drink, grab a quick snack and sit down to watch some television. They offered unlimited downloads for two years at a wonderful price.

To join their club was very simple I entered my credit card information and then hit the download button. I filled out the rest of the form; the selection of movies came up on my screen. Video Production Explained

Videos strength lies in its simple ability to transport people to locations, illustrate concepts and convey far more than mere words, spoken or printed, ever can. Video is an effective and memorable way of communicating. Core messages and themes are reinforced using other forms of communication. Video has been revolutionised by the onset of digital shooting and editing. Not only is digital editing highly flexible, but the medium enables an ever-expanding range of graphical effects to be applied - without loss of quality or corruption of the original footage. In consequence, the costs associated with making and producing a video have dropped dramatically. What was once the preserve of the large, rich and expansive corporation is now available and affordable to a much wider market - with the consequent advantages that this provides to internal company communications and team building along with external advantages in the selling of products or services to your market place.

The stages required to produce a video vary depending on the style and content; generally:

PRE-PRODUCTION involves briefing, research, location finding, administration, booking of facilities and writing a treatment outline (video content, description and approach to be adopted). After approval a shooting script including both narration and camera shots will be written.

SHOOTING follows the approved script and involves a camera crew and a director going to location/s to interview participants and shoot footage to illustrate, illuminate and reinforce the script. If required studio shoots are undertaken where controlled lighting and effects are employed - a product demonstration, for example is typically shot in this way.

POST-PRODUCTION includes recording of guide narration (using an edited script, which may change from the shooting script because of interviewee's comments etc.). Footage is edited to the guide narration, graphic and video effects generated and music and titles added. The resulting edit master is then client approved and amended as necessary. A final "voice over" is then effected incorporating final changes. The final master tape is complete and ready for duplication.

DUPLICATION is the transfer of masters onto the final format - which can be all or any of VHS, Betacam, Laserdisk, Digibeta, DVD, Mpeg, Avi and more. The final product is then packaged and presented in an appropriate way with print material for labels, inserts and sleeves.

George Lucas

His experiences growing up in the sleepy suburb of Modesto and his early passion for cars and motor racing would eventually serve as inspiration for his Oscar-nominated low-budget phenomenon, American Graffiti (1973). Before young Lucas became obsessed with the movie camera, he wanted to be a race car driver, but a near fatal accident in his souped-up Fiat just days before his high school graduation quickly changed his mind. Instead, he attended community college and developed a passion for cinematography and camera tricks. Following the advice of a friend, he transferred to the University of Southern California filmmaking school. There he produced a short futuristic Sci-Fi film called THX-1138:4EB, and garnered a comfortable spot under the wing of Francis Ford Coppola, who took an active interest in unleashing new filmmaking talent.

Coppola convinced Warner Brothers to make a feature length version of the film, and although a few critics recognized some philosophical depth behind all the technical wizardry, THX - 1138 (re-titled) flopped terribly in its 1971 release. Although intimidated by the failure of his first film, Lucas went back to work on his next project, American Graffiti. Released in 1973, the film featured such burgeoning young talents as Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfuss, and Harrison Ford, and was recognized as a stunning portrait of listless American youth in 1962 - depicting, in Lucas' own words, "a warm, secure, uninvolved life."

The film, made for only $780,000, grossed $50 million in the box office. It was nominated in five categories at that year's Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Director for Lucas, and is still considered one of the most successful low budget features ever made. Now that Lucas had won back the confidence of his supporters, he set out to make a children's Saturday morning serial that would be part fairy tale, part Flash Gordon, and complete fantasy and adventure set in the imaginary frontier of outer space. The project eventually evolved into a full-length feature entitled, Star Wars.

In its 1977 release, Star Wars blew audiences away with its awe-inspiring special affects, fantastical landscapes, captivating characters (the erroneous pairing of two bumbling droids providing, ironically, the most heart and comic relief), and the familiar resonance of popular myth and fairy tale. Made for $11 million, the film grossed over $513 million worldwide during its original release. Lucas continued the story of the Jedi Knights and the Dark Side in The Empire Strike Back (1980) and The Return of the Jedi (1983). In the meantime, he set up a state-of-the-art special effects company, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), as well as a sound studio, Skywalker Sound, and began to execute more and more control over the finished product of his films. He eventually built his own moviemaking "empire" outside of the controlling influence of Hollywood in the hills of Marin Country, California.

While Lucas weathered a considerable slump after the success of the Star Wars trilogy, ILM made money doing TV commercials. In 1993, the company finally got to flex its muscles when commissioned to bring the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park to horrifying life. The progressions in technology convinced Lucas that it was time to go back to Star Wars. He embarked on the development of three new prequels - beginning with the menacing Darth Vader as an innocent, but forceful, young boy. The first in the series, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, was released in spring of 1999 to high expectations and unprecedented hype and fanfare. The response was mixed; some critics and Star Wars fans found the characters childish and racially stereotyped, and the story lacking in dramatic depth; but the magical quality of Lucas's technologically masterful creations was incontestably fantastic and mind-blowing. Defending his latest creation, Lucas argued that The Phantom Menace was a children's movie - as all the Star Wars movies were meant to be before their cult like magnetism took hold of the American public.

Considering the fact that George Lucas raises his children as a single parent, his preoccupation with children's interests is not surprising. After he and film editor Marcia Griffin divorced in 1983, he gained custody of their adopted child, Amanda, now 17. Since then he has adopted two more children: Kate, 11 and Jet, 6. They live together in the Skywalker ranch compound in Marin County. Lucas told Orville Schell of the New York Times in a 1999 interview, "Children are the whole point of life" - a surprisingly humble comment from a movie mogul worth somewhere around $2.5 billion. Lucas's other projects have included writing and producing the Indiana Jones films and 1988's Willow. Star Wars: Episode II is currently in preproduction, and scheduled for release in 2002. .

Kahaani Movie: A Voyage of Lost Hope

After excellent acting in Dirty Picture, Vidya Balan is now going to perform in another Avatar in her upcoming movie Kahaani. Lanka Movie: Devils Still Reign

In this generation, the mythical Ram-Ravan-Sita type story is not a good way to uphold the deep morals of our epics. So Maqbool Khan represented the same concept with bit variation and of course in a new wrapper. In this latest Lanka movie, Manoj Bajpai appeared as today's Ravan. "Haunted" famous heroine Tia Bajpai was the Sita of this era and Arjan Bajwa played the role of her rescuer.

The movie script casted Manoj Bajpai as Jaswant Sisodiya who is a famous gangster in a small town of Uttar Pradesh named Bijnor. Nobody dares to challenge Jaswant's rule there. Therefore he owns an invisible kingly crown in that area. Even politicians and polices give a blind eye to this mishap circumstances of Bijnor.

As per the Lanka movie Reviews, Jaswant Sisodiya, the local dada of Bijnor gets addicted to Anshu (Tia Bajpai). Taking the fullest benefit of their hopeless condition of her and her family, he soon becomes the nightmare to them. Fortunately Sisodiya's foster brother (Arjan Bajwa) falls in love with Anshu and here starts the clash between the brothers. One cherishes a girl out of obsession and other one tries hard to protect her from all such miseries.

The opening scene of the movie is of a hospital that a female doctor checking up a poorly beaten lady in the OPD. To rescue her husband and family from any kind of police cases that woman lies to the doctor explaining that she has fallen down in the bathroom and these are those marks of injury. No doubt, that innocent and tearful falsehood fails to convince the educated lady doctor who collars her husband to punish him for such a cruel deed. Eventually doctor is charged with the blame of misconduct. The six years ago flashback then gets into the frame to disclose the real story behind all these. Along with the proceeding, all those characters start thriving on screen.

In the climax part of the story, that lady doctor shots Sisodiya who urged to be murdered only by her.The tale indeed loses the complete entertainment element as well as it not comes up to scratch on the hit box. The moral and concept of the story gets mixed in a way that public cannot figure out what the movie actually want to maintain. Movie music and songs are boring and charmless at the same time.Lanka movie rating is therefore a proof of its disappointment. Except Manoj Bajpai, Tia and Arjan is not so creative with expression and acting ability. There are already movies like this directed in the same way and on the similar plots of UP and crime. As a result it is nothing but a mind numbing repetition of acting less drama.

Finally, Sony has decided to align the PlayStation 3 with Netflix by removing the requirement of a disc. And to add to it, the new interface has been enhanced to make it user friendly. Being an owner of PS3, I decided to get this Netflix application. On researching about it a bit more, I came to know about few of its impressive features. I am sharing my research with you all to give you a detailed idea about what Netflix actually is, and what are the benefits of installing Netflix app on your PS3?

What is Netflix?

Netflix is a provider of on demand internet streaming media in the United States of America, Canada and the Caribbean. It started its subscription based digital distribution service in 1999, and by 2009 it was contributing a collection of about 100,000 titles on DVD and had outdone 10 million subscribers.

Netflix Videos on PlayStation

The Xbox Live Gold subscription enabled them to stream movies and TV shows directly from their Netflix Instant Queue from an application on the Dashboard.

Later in October 2009, Sony declared the availability of Netflix on PlayStation 3 console. The set-up was similar to that on the Xbox 360, and allowed Netflix subscribers to stream and view movies and TV shows from their Instant Queue. On October 19, 2010, PlayStation launched a downloadable application for the users which allowed them to view movies by simply paying the monthly Netflix subscription for no additional service charges.

In May 2008, the first set-top box was released to stream Netflix movies. The device, manufactured by Roku, offered infinite access to the Netflix catalog for all subscribers starting at $7.99/month.
