My View On "That's My Boy" (2012)

The other day I watched the new Adam Sandler movie 'That`s My Boy'. I didn`t expect too much due to the fact that lately not many good comedies have come out. Even so, the film was reasonable. It had good jokes and an interesting story.

Here is what the official site says about the film: "While still in his teens, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todd's 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd's world comes crashing down on the eve of his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up. Trying desperately to reconnect with his son, Donny is now forced to deal with the repercussions of his bad parenting skills."

And this is my summary. Donny, played by Justin Weaver and then, as an adult, by Adam Sandler, is a teenage boy who gets involved with his teacher Mary McGarricle, played by Eva Amurri Martino and then by Susan Sarandon. Their unusual relationship leads to a pregnancy, situation which puts the teacher in jail and makes Donny famous all around the country. I wasn`t fond of the fact that the movie started in a rather promiscous way, but, as the plot developed, the characters and action became funnier.

The film focuses on the story of Donny and his son Todd, played by Andy Samberg. Eventhough Donny tried to raise his son, he is overwhelmed by the situation, thing which led to Todd leaving his father and becoming a succesfull Wall Street investor. In the meanwhile, Donny gets in trouble with the IRS and tries to find his son in order to cash out and save himself from jail.

The two men meet in the circumstance of Todd`s wedding to Jamie, played by Leighton Meester. Donny is presented to be the old best friend of the groom, situation which doesn`t sit well with either of the two. In my view, this is the moment in which the movie gets really interesting. Adam Sandler plays a good part even though his age is no longer a friend of him. I recommend you see 'That`s My Boy` if you are a fan of Sandler and you want to relax on a Sunday afternoon.

My View On 'That`s My Boy'- 6.5 stars out of 10. It`s more than the 5.3 that IMDB rated it. Providing useful articles, reviews and writings on movies and films online.

Men In Black 3 Movie Review

Well, it's been ten long years since Agents J and K showed off their intergalactic protection skills in Men In Black 2, and given that the film didn't exactly win rave reviews, you can't blame anyone for being a little skeptical about the likelihood of a third installment being memorable. Luckily, I am always willing to give Will Smith the benefit of the doubt, and I'm happy to report that he and the entire cast made it worth my time.

THE GOOD: In order to go forward in this story, we have to go backwards... meaning time travel to the past; the summer of 1969, to be exact, when astronauts were preparing to walk on the moon and the Mets were poised to win the World Series. Another newsworthy event was Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) putting a foul looking alien by the name of Boris behind bars---in a prison on the moon, no less. But 40 years later, Boris has busted out of his lunar lockup and has managed to sneak through the space time continuum in an effort to find K and kill him. It's all up to J (Will Smith) to go back in time and put Boris out of commission, before he can achieve his goal. Oh, and J also needs to keep himself from getting left in 1969 as well... yes, it's sort of a "Back to the Future" twist, and it may not be as ingenious of an idea as it seemed 25 years ago, but for all intents and purposes, it works. As you can imagine, there is a social commentary to be made with J going back in time as a black man, and Smith delivers some great attitude at perfect moments when small minded people speak without thinking.

As much as I adore Will Smith however, the scene stealer in this movie is without a doubt Josh Brolin, who not only plays the younger version of Agent K, but NAILS it. There's no debating that Tommy Lee Jones has a very unique presence and mannerism, so for someone to be able to capture that with such flawlessness, it is award worthy in my opinion. From his facial expressions to his accent and timing, everything was spot on... and hilarious. Adding to that fun, we have the alien character Griffin (played by Michael Stuhlbarg) who is a sweet and perpetually anxious little creature, and has the dubious gift of seeing the future----or rather the equal possibility of several different futures, some positive and some not so much. With his misty blue eyes, Elmer Fudd wool hat, and innocent childlike responses, he might come across as goofy to some, but I adored him.

THE BAD: I can only assume that in order to capitalize on how amazing Josh Brolin is in this role, efforts were made to keep Will Smith's character from shining too brightly. Or at least, that's what ends up happening. Usually Agent J is so full of sarcasm and attitude that the laughs are pretty constant... this time around, it took almost 45 minutes for Will to have a laugh worthy moment, at least for me personally. This isn't to say that Smith isn't his usual great talent, but be prepared that he doesn't pack nearly the punch in this installment as he did in the first two.

THE UGLY: I'm torn really, as to what the most hideous part of this movie was, but I certainly have it narrowed down to two contenders: the first being Boris (Jemaine Clement) in general---this guy just brings repulsive to a whole new level---but it's his teeth specifically that had me completely nauseated. It was like an entire mouth full of giant yellow molars and reminded me of the scary monsters I imagined as a little girl. Of course none of those creatures were ever making out with a woman in black leather pants in my imagination---which brings us to contender number 2. If there is anything more disturbing than a monster like man with bad dental work, it would be watching that same man sticking his tongue in a woman's mouth. Shudder. It's like I'm a five year old girl again, with a whole new scary image to keep me awake at night.

It's a generally accepted fact that the Men In Black Franchise started off strong, then hit a low with MIB2. There will be those who won't be willing to give MIB3 a chance because they fear things will only get worse... the surprise is that, as sequels go, this one is actually worth seeing, not only because of Brolin's performance, but the touching surprise twist at the end that explains J and K's relationship.

The Trophy Wife gives this movie 3 ½ trophies.

Men In Black 3 has a running time of 106 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sci-fi action violence and brief suggestive content. No F words. Providing articles, reviews and writings on movies online.

Marilyn Monroe's Most Famous Happenings

Marilyn Monroe was an American film actress who was born on June 1, 1926, and died on August 5, 1962. Although her career was commercially successful back in the 1950s and early 1960s, she remains a household name to this day. Notable events in Monroe's life include her multiple marriages and her death from barbiturate overdose.

Monroe spent most of her childhood living with distant relatives or in foster homes. She did some modeling in 1945 before signing a film contract with Twentieth Century-Fox in 1946. Her early film career consisted of minor roles, but Monroe began to attract serious attention with her performances in the 1950 dramas "All About Eve" and "The Asphalt Jungle." Monroe's first starring role was in the 1952 thriller "Don't Bother to Knock." This was followed by a series of comedies that made good use of her "dumb blond" persona, for which she became typecast.

Monroe began taking formal acting lessons in 1955 to broaden her acting range and received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the 1956 drama "Bus Stop." She was also nominated for a BAFTA Award for the 1957 drama "The Prince and the Showgirl." Her performance in the 1959 comedy "Some Like it Hot" won Monroe a Golden Globe Award and is often considered her best performance. The 1961 drama "The Misfits" was Monroe's last completed film, which received critical acclaim despite being commercially unsuccessful. The actress died while filming "Something's Got to Give," a comedy that was never completed.

All three of Monroe's marriages ended in divorce, and she is also alleged to have had affairs with President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert Kennedy. She never had children, having suffered an ectopic pregnancy and two miscarriages throughout her marriages. Monroe married James Dougherty on June 19, 1942, shortly after her 16th birthday. Dougherty did not approve of her modeling career, and Monroe divorced him in 1946.

Next, Monroe married retired baseball player Joe DiMaggio in a civil ceremony on January 14, 1954. They met in 1952, although Monroe was initially reluctant to date the retired athlete. Monroe performed a series of USO shows in Japan during the couple's honeymoon, which is widely believed to have created the initial strain on the marriage. The troubled marriage reached the final straw when Monroe filmed the iconic skirt-blowing scene for "The Seven Year Itch" on September 14, 1954. The shoot became a media circus and ended with DiMaggio and Monroe in a shouting match. Monroe filed for a divorce the following month.

Monroe's third marriage was with playwright Arthur Miller in a civil ceremony that took place on June 29, 1956. They met in 1950, although the relationship did not become serious until 1955, when Monroe was filming "Bus Stop." The couple dated discretely over the next year, until their relationship began to receive media attention. The private ceremony was followed by a formal Jewish wedding two days later. Miller wrote the screenplay for "The Misfits" in 1959, intending it as a Valentine gift for Monroe. However, the marriage was irreparable when filming began in 1960 and the couple obtained a divorce in Mexico on January 24, 1961.

Monroe died at her home in Brentwood, California. Her housekeeper discovered her body and called Monroe's psychiatrist, Ralph Greenson. Greenson reported Monroe's death at 4:25 a.m. on August 5, 1962. An autopsy detected chloral hydrate in her blood at a concentration of 8 milligrams per deciliter of blood and 4.5 mg/dL of Nembutal, more than enough to be lethal. The Los Angeles County Coroners office ruled the death a probable suicide due to barbiturate poisoning. Many conspiracy theorists have advanced theories that Monroe's death was arranged by various parties, including John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, the CIA, and the Mafia.

Monroe's body was interred in Los Angeles at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery on August 8, 1962. The funeral was attended by only 31 people, a very small number considering her fame and the circumstances of her death. Joe DiMaggio handled the arrangements, which included a police presence to keep the media away.

Monroe's will left her personal effects to her coach Lee Strasberg, specifying that he distribute them among her friends and colleagues. However, Strasberg stored the items in a warehouse and they went to his wife Anna upon his death in 1982. Anna auctioned off the majority of Monroe's effects through Christie's auction house in October 1999, netting $13,405,785.

Anna Strasberg was also granted ownership of Monroe's home after a long legal battle. She received the proceeds from the sale of the home in July 2010, at a total of $3.6 million. Providing useful articles, reviews and writings on movies and films online.

Batman: The Dark Knight Rises

Christopher Nolan Rises to the Occasion!

Christopher Nolan has made all Batman fans worldwide very happy, but most of all proud. Comic book fans are a very dedicated and loyal crew. They want to boast and beat their chests with pride and need the world to know just how badass Batman truly is. Batman is not the colorful Spider-Man who dances around like Tobey Maguire. Batman is dark and twisted constantly at war with Gotham city.

What if you were 8 years old, your parents take you out to a movie and some loser thug named Joe Chill kills your parents, right in front of you? Would you not be cold, distant, and perhaps even odd? Christopher Nolan has done a fantastic job telling the story as it should be told. "The Legend Ends" on July 20th, but Christopher Nolan has ensured his Dark Knight will live on for a very long time.

Bane: "The Man Who Broke the Bat"

"When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die. "- Bane, speaking to Batman

Who is Bane? Bane is that guy who was born and raised in prison. He is that guy who broke Bruce Wayne's spinal cord. He is a smart and physical freak who has been fighting to survive his entire life.

In Batman The Dark Knight, we witnessed Heath Ledger transform The Joker into the villain we all knew and wanted to see for so long from the comic books.

The question is can Tom Hardy bring Bane to life like Heath Ledger did with The Joker? All signs point to yes, and we can tell from the trailer that Bane is no stranger to death and destruction. Tom Hardy himself described Bane as an absolute terrorist. If he can make that transition on screen, get your popcorn ready! It is sure to be one hell of a ride! Batman The Dark Knight Rises is set to end on a high note. This movie will be the masterpiece to end an already proven and brilliant franchise.

Batman The Dark Knight Rises Cast and Crew

Christian Bale is back for his final Batman movie. He said earlier in an interview that this will be his final movie wearing the Batman costume. Gary Oldman is also returning to play Jim Gordon. Then you have Michael Caine playing Alfred, and Morgan Freeman playing Lucius Fox. The new members for this final installment is Anne Hathaway, who takes on the infamous role of Selina Kyle. For those that don't know that name, you might know her famous alter-ego of Catwoman.

Anne Hathaway gets plenty of screentime in the trailer and is sure to be a hit. Christopher Nolan also adds Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard, who were both in his huge hit Inception. Overall the cast stays the same, lined with star power and an enormous amount of talent. Of course you have Liam Neeson and the above mentioned Tom Hardy.

O and did I mention Troy Polamalu, Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward and many other NFL Pittsburgh Steelers all make their movie debut! With the new additions this is sure to be nothing less than a blockbuster.

Batman The Dark Knight Rises into Box Office Gold!

Batman Begins, which was released back in 2005 pulled in $372,710,015 Worldwide!

Batman The Dark Knight was released in 2008 and is one of the top ten biggest grossing movies of all time! It pulled in a worldwide total of $1,001,921,825. This new and final installment, Batman The Dark Knight Rises is set to break records once again! It has an estimated budget of $250 million, up from the estimated budget of $185 million from Batman The Dark Knight. I think it is safe to say this Batman will rise right into the record books! Vampire Diaries: More Than Just a Fantasy

For movie enthusiasts, the Twilight series is one of the most popular fantasy movies in recent times with its introduction of romance between a vampire and a human. It's not exactly an original concept but the author added some extra features like how vampires sparkle and also the concept of a love triangle with a werewolf. Just like in movies, TV shows have its fair share of popular fantasy shows such as True Blood, The Walking Dead and Smallville. One TV show that aims to be another memorable show is the CW's "The Vampire Diaries".

Vampire Diaries follows the story of a girl, Elena, torn between her romance for two vampires who happens to be brothers. Looking at that plot alone, people may judge it as a copycat of other several vampire stories. While it may not be that original in terms of its concept, the show makes up for it in their storylines and subplots. It doesn't exactly focus on the trivial facts about vampires but on the relationship of every character, especially the main character, who finds out she is a descendant of another vampire and whose life has changed when the people around her has been affected by the presence of the vampires. Elena, played by Nina Dobrev, finds herself in the company of Stefan and Damon who tries to capture her heart. But the decision is not easy to make for her as she has fallen in love with both of them. The other characters in the show have also captured the interest of the viewers with their own storylines which are in some way connected to each other in the greater side of things. One of Elena's best friends, Bonnie is a witch who grew up under the care of her grandma and another one of her friend is Caroline who was turned by a vampire and fell in love with a werewolf, Tyler, who happens to be one of their friends. We have seen these characters grow throughout the show's run especially when Bonnie strives to have more power as a witch and finds out about her mother is alive all these years. We also see Caroline's maturity as she makes her transition from a human to a vampire. We see how she struggled with helping her boyfriend turn to a werewolf and try to keep their relationship even if vampires and werewolves were not supposed to be together. Elena also has her own set of problems especially in dealing with her parent's death and the added responsibility of taking care of her brother whom she only has left after their guardian passed away.

One of the major reasons why this show continues to keep viewers watching is that it incorporates real life problems and situations into the show. Most people like to watch drama and this show has plenty of it. There's romance, betrayal, action and a hint of humor to mix it up a bit. While this show might have vampires and other supernatural beings as the main cast of the show, it is something that humans have enjoyed in their TV viewing. Sensitive Movies Can Change The Direction Of Our Lives Positively

"Cinema and movies can give a new direction to social life. It can execute the task of sanctifying social thinking and render sentiments lovingly soft in nature. Thus society can advance much further in an all round manner. One can never ignore the role played by cinema in social transformation".

Revered Gurudeva Shriram Sharma Acharya. Cinema ab jahar na ugle, lok mangal ki jimmedari samjhe. Akhand Jyoti Magazine, February 2001, Page 40.

Cinema based sensitivity does touch the deep recesses of the hearts of people. Thus their sentiments are very naturally veered towards desired directions. Research analysis has shown that when people watch movies their capacity to think logically and brain based analysis becomes latent. Only the door of the heart remains wide open and they identify with every emotional scene of the cinema being viewed. This state continues much after the movie ends. This is the opinion of Rudransh Gulati who along with being a film critic is also immersed in complexes related to cinema, culture and sensitive sentiments. 45 year old Rudransh is attracted towards not only literature, philosophy, social sciences and psychology but also is deeply interested in spirituality.

Rudransh who is fair skinned, has a good height and body oozing with strength is also well versed with literature dished out by Yug Nirman Mission. He feels Indian Cinema has gone through many phases. One phase was when actors Ashok Kumar and Devika Rani acted in the movie ‘Achut Kanya'. This period was that of freedom struggle. Somewhere down the line lyricists and producers got inspiration from it. After this in the following phase a movie ‘Naya Daur' was filmed. In it we get a glimpse of social reforms. This phase continued right from ‘Do Bhiga Zameen' movie to ‘Purab aur Pashchim'. Films released later very much went astray.

Rudransh opines that the reason behind this is that the bond between literature and cinema weakened a lot. Wrath and incitement in movies were filmed more and more because the film producer knew that its audience was mainly the youth category of society. Without playing with young people's emotions cinema makers cannot fatten their wallets hence they depicted lewd sex and incitement of allsorts in their moves that pleasurably titillated the senses of youth class. It was erroneously believed that successful cinema means filming scenes full of foul language, wrath, fights and semi nakedness. This state is continuing even today yet in between some desirable changes have also been seen in movie making and even now this is being noted.

He says that when Shriram Sharma Acharya took up the spiritual practice/Sadhana of Sukshmikaran (rendering the psyche subtle) at that time he had written that he will change the very thinking pattern of those who think. It was after this that Ramanand Sagar made the serial ‘Ramayan'. As a result the direction of cinema production changed positively. Later Ramanand Sagar met Shriram Sharma Acharya. After this I too met Acharyaji. While digging into his memory Rudransh said that this brief meeting with Shriram Sharma Acharya cast a very deep influence in the mind of Ramanand Sagar. He opined that from whatever I learnt, heard and understood accordingly my opinion is that after Mahatma Gandhi Shriram Sharma Acharya is only one such person who is all the time worrying about the country and world society. He believes cinema to be a medium of world public revolution.

No doubt this experience of Ramanand Sagar was brief but it was very deep and profound. Later he made serials like Krishna and Jai Ganga Maiya. In these very days new smaller channels came on television that later reached every household. Yet whether it is cinema or TV despite it being a business, in between history, culture, patriotism and Super Mantra Gayatri too is heard. No doubt that production of cinema or serials is very expensive. Hence it cannot be totally separated from business yet it can definitely be conjoined to public problems and their solution.

Those who have tried experimenting thus indeed have tasted success. Innumerable people were positively influenced by ‘Gandhigiri' depicted in the film ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai'. Yje movie ‘3 Idiots' that mocked the present educational system also tried to say something positive which was the reason why it was called the best movie of the year. In it youngsters were told that if you imbibe true capability, character and skills you shall definitely reap success. In life what is most required is advancement of talent and its sanctity. If this is achieved everything else in life can be ours for keepsake.

Rudransh Gulati met Gurudeva Shriram Sharma Acharya only once in his life. While remembering it he says: Those days were of winter. Shriram Sharma Acharya was seated in a room on the upper floor. Half the room had sunlight and the rest had a shadow. Along with one member volunteer of Baroda I too was sent into the room. At first sight he appeared akin to an affectionate relative. One perforce starts loving such a person. He asked about our family members health etc. He tried to find out what problems we were facing in our personal lives. Every word of his utterance dripped with affection, love and sense of oneness. Whatever I had thought in my mind remained there itself. But only one point appeared in my intellect and that was may Shriram Sharma Acharya continue speaking and that I avidly keep hearing him.

I do not know how but he commenced talking about cinema and films and said: Today films based on good wholesome topics are not being made simply because movie producers and directors want to taste success using minimum finance and short cuts. They do not make any effort to choose the right stories for their films and fail to labor hard to write good screen plays. Music suited to screen play too is rare to find today. Based on the screen play perfect choice of actors too is missing. They erroneously think that if well known ‘hit' actors are taken the movie shall reap success. No doubt in those rare cases this does happen yet overall this is not true.

After saying this much he laughingly continued: In films the 1st spot should be held by the writer, 2nd by the director, 3rd by the lyricist and music director and then the 4th spot must be given to actors. If the writer and director decide that something truly beneficial must be given to society and that the wealthy class has faith in their cinematic skills, films can usher in a world revolution. On saying this much he discussed 2 films of his times. The 1st one was ‘Mahatma Vidur' which was not allowed to be screened by the British government. The 2nd film was ‘Tyag Bhumi' whose leader despite being a Brahmin dwelled in the Harijan community and lived a life of simple living and high thinking.

Shriram Sharma Acharya said that these 2 films cast a deep impression in the minds of the viewers of those times. Rudransh said that saying this much Shriram Sharma Acharya glancing at him said: It is indeed difficult to make films and usher in a public revolution yet an easier way is to inspire the moviegoers and producers to watch and make only good wholesome films. Rudransh said that he himself trod this path and in the film world even if the transformation is minute yet from it, it appears that people related to the film industry are slowly but surely understanding the fact that films must focus on social problems and giving beneficial solutions for the same. Since our economic management has transformed for the better the above state of affairs too is transforming positively.

You Need More Than 1 Video On Your Site, Why?

Using online videos to improve the volume and quality of your website's visitors is a necessity these days. In 2010 30% of all internet traffic was video, according to Cisco. The same report estimates 90% of all the internet will be video by 2013. Your visitors will expect video and they will increasingly prefer video compared to text as their primary source of entertainment and engagement. Deciding to create just one video to throw up on your site is better than not using any videos on your website, but overall you're going to find a lot more success with multiple videos on your website. Here's why.

The Two Different Purposes of Online Video for Your Website

The different videos on your website will serve one of two different purposes- to build traffic or to convert that traffic.
Any internet marketer worth their salt will tell you the key to online success lies solely in those two variable, in traffic and conversion. One without the other will lead to failure so optimize both using online videos on your website.

Traffic building videos are the videos you post on the front page of your website. The principle behind placing a video on your website's home page to produce traffic is a simple one- a properly optimized video on the front page of your website will increase your shot at first page Google ranking by 53 times, or 5,300%.  Conversion raising videos are product or service videos you include on your website which increase your sales numbers. There are plenty of studies and case studies showing videos increase sales conversion rates substantially. For example Internet Retailer found the average online video/product page combination increased conversion rates by 85%.

Even though the general content of your videos will be very similar between these two different types of videos (informative and engaging) their purposes will be different and synergistic and primarily defined by where on your website you place them.

Will Online Video Replace Text Completely?

To answer that question quickly- no, but that doesn't mean online video won't become more important than text within the next two years. Text will still exist and be a necessary part of every website because text travels faster and more conveniently than video. This won't change no matter how much internet connection speeds improve due to the inherent properties of each medium.

That being said video will continue to rise in importance over text because people are already beginning to prefer receiving information online by watching it instead of reading it. Forbes found 59% of senior executives self reported their preference for video over text when it came to absorbing online information. Rich Media found audiences engaged between 400% and 700% more when watching videos than when reading a static text-based website. Emails with video included in them create up to 3 times the click through rate of emails which are based in text and graphics.
All of these statistics point to one emerging truth- video is quickly becoming the most effective way to reach and communicate with audiences online.

John Travolta

His family encouraged creative expression; his older sister, Ellen, was a television actress. Travolta's first public performance was at eight years old, when he danced "The Twist" for a local theater crowd. Immediately after high school, he pursued an acting career full time. He appeared in over forty commercials and many stage shows, including an early road show of Grease.

Travolta's first major role came in 1975 as Vinnie Barbarino on the sitcom Welcome Back Kotter. He was the breakout star and helped make the show an immediate hit. At nearly the same time, Travolta appeared in the made-for-TV movie The Boy in the Plastic Bubble. During production, Travolta and co-star Diana Hyland (playing his mother) fell in love. Travolta suffered a great personal loss when Hyland died of cancer in March 1977.

Later that same year, Travolta's movie career took off when Saturday Night Fever was released to both critical and popular acclaim. Travolta, with his charisma and dynamic dancing, became an icon of the disco craze that was just hitting the mainstream. He became a full-fledged teen idol in 1978 when he starred in the film version of Grease opposite Olivia Newton-John.

Travolta finally escaped the fading Welcome Back Kotter in 1979 and sought to make the transition to serious adult actor. Although Brian DePalma's Blow Out (1982) was not a big hit, Travolta got great reviews and critical respect for the first time in his career. However, this acclaim was quickly squandered as Travolta starred in a series of flops from 1983-1989, including Two of a Kind and Perfect. His slump culminated with yet another bomb, The Experts, in 1989. However, Travolta did meet actress Kelly Preston on the set.

Two years later, after Preston broke up with actor Charlie Sheen, she began dating Travolta. They were married a short time later on September 5, 1991, in Paris, France, although a subsequent civil ceremony in Florida was required to make it legal. Seven months later, the couple had a son, Jett, whose name was inspired by his father's passion for aviation. The birthing was conducted in complete silence in accordance with the principles of Scientology, which Travolta has followed since 1972. Travolta's career enjoyed a renaissance beginning in 1994 with Pulp Fiction, which he did for $140,000.

His comeback was so well received that within two years his asking price had reached $20 million as he starred in Get Shorty(1995, Golden Globe Award), Broken Arrow (1996 ), Face/Off (1997), Primary Colors (1998), A Civil Action (1998), and The General's Daughter (1999). In 2000, Travolta produced and starred as an evil alien leader in the futuristic science fiction epic Battlefield Earth.

The film, set in the year 3000, was adapted from the novel by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Church of Scientology. Both Battlefield Earth and the comedy Lucky Numbers, costarring Lisa Kudrow, were relative disappointments both critically and commercially. In the summer of 2001, a newly buff Travolta costarred opposite Halle Berry in the action movie Swordfish. Travolta and Preston had a second child, Ella Bleu, in April 2000. Travolta spends much of his free time piloting his private jet.

Movie Downloads on the Internet

Most of us come home after work or have some free time on the weekend and would like to relax for a while maybe pour something to drink, grab a quick snack and sit down to watch some television. First lets watch the news for a while to catch up on things current. Now I would like to watch a movie, I have all the premium channels my cable company offers, STARS, Showtime, Lifetime, Cinema, the list goes on. I cannot find anything that interest me they have the same titles sometimes for months at a time. Pay-per-view is my next option the cost is $6 up to $20, forget it!

I decided to do some surfing on the internet I typed in movies. I started reading what they had to offer it sounded pretty good to me. Some sites offered P2P movies. I knew this was an infringement on the copyright, the same thing happened with the CD's in the music industry consumers were downloading the songs but the producers were not receiving any commission. They made a big deal of it, a few people refused to stop distributing the songs. They were heavily fined or jailed. I eventually found a site that claimed to have legal downloadable movies NOT P2P. They offered unlimited downloads for two years at a wonderful price.

To join their club was very simple I entered my credit card information and then hit the download button. I filled out the rest of the form; the selection of movies came up on my screen. The selection was immense, it contained a large selection; action, adventure, cartoons, comedy, classics, drama, fiction, new DVD releases, love, mystery, and you get the point.

Most homes today have HDTV which allows you to join the computer to the TV through a HDMI cable, another method is through your home entertainment system with some AV Jack's or through a wireless router if your computer video card will support it. These methods can be easily looked into through the Internet, they are very common. If you cannot join the two and have a conventional television do not despair.
